An important part in all of what we do is for our environmental footprint to be as small as possible and thereby to contribute to a sustainable environment for future generations. We conduct life-cycle analyses and strive to minimise our emissions onto the land, into the air and into the water, as well as for a low level of energy consumption.
Raw material
We have chosen to work with Zinc-Magnesium. A new and considerably more environmentally friendly and corrosion resistant treatment to replace traditional hot galvanisation.
Welding
Ten years ago, the products looked different, e.g., most of them were welded. Now, we are proud to say that during the year, the last of the welded products will be phased out.
Building product declaration
Our building product declarations are a compilation from an environmental perspective which describes the product’s environmental effects through its entire life cycle - from obtaining the material to disposal.
In order to simplify it all, we have divided our products into two different groups:
- New products that are not hot galvanised or welded
- Older products
All of our products having building product declarations.
Environmental assessments
In order to take responsibility for the environment, we conduct various types of environmental assessments.

Hence, we can substantiate that they satisfy the agreed quality criteria with regard to environmental and health characteristics. The assessment is made at the item level in accordance with the BASTA criteria.
