The function of the anchor loops and ridge rail is to form an anchor point for personal fall protection. The ridge rail is used on pitched roofs; on low-pitched roofs (pitches of less than 6 degrees) with asphalt or artificial material-based sealing surfaces, anchor loops are used.
Most often, roof safety is used that fills several functions, such a walkways and snow fences, which also serve as anchor points. For solutions for these and more anchoring possibilities, see the CWL Safety System.
The anchor loop is used on waterproof membrane roofs up to 6 degrees and are intended for the anchoring of personal fall protection. In the outer corners of the roof, extra means of anchoring may be required in order to reduce any pendulum effects in the event of a fall and be placed in the corner of the roof 2 metres from the edge of the roof and roof foot.
We recommend that the anchor loop be signal red in order for it to be easily found on the roof.
The anchor loop is prepared to be easily equipped with a flag with snow depth indicators.
Our anchor loops satisfy EU requirements on anchor points and they meet the dynamic and static load requirements with regard to function as an anchor point in accordance with EN 516.
The mounting plate is used for safe and durable attachment on the waterproofing surface on bitumen-based and synthetic membranes.
The advantage of the CWL mountingplate is that no damage is done to the sealing surface.
The mounting plate can be attached either above the existing waterproof membrane roof or below it, which provides the most aesthetically pleasing appearance. It may be a good idea to plan the roof safety measures before applying the waterproofing membrane.
