In accordance with current rules, we help you with supervision and suggestions for improvements and measures. Namely, you must not go up to the roof with security deficiencies. For example, the roofing work must be done according to the regulations when working with roofing. It is also important that competent persons carry out the roof inspections. This means that the person inspecting must have the right training and the right equipment. Examples of things that check the strength of anchoring devices and what other safety devices and routines are in place.

The regulations that exist for roof safety apply partly to property owners and partly to the companies that provide services on rooftops. In addition to the property owner having to make sure that all safety requirements are met, employers of the roofing workers must inspect the roof to make sure that the access routes and the roof itself are safe. In addition, property owners with chimneys and fireplaces must ensure that fire in the building is prevented. Thus, chimney sweeps need to have easy access to the chimney in a safe way.

According to the regulations, some roof safety devices must be inspected every year or before use. For example, wire and rail systems for anchoring personal fall protection equipment must be inspected.

When, for example, repairs, snow removal or inspection of roof safety, a thorough risk analysis must first be performed. This means that you look at what risks there are and how serious their risks are. Then you create a plan for how the risks are to be addressed.
